Built on-site, since 1994
Deck, Steel & Concrete cc (D.S.C.) was established in 1994 and operates from our head office and yard at 262 Aberdare Drive, Phoenix Industrial Park, Durban. What began as a specialist formwork outfit has grown into a full civil and building contracting business, with our own steel-fixing teams, concrete supply arrangements, and a yard of plant and equipment ready to mobilise to site.
Over three decades we have worked on residential developments along the KwaZulu-Natal coast, commercial and retail centres, multi-storey buildings, and large institutional campuses — handling everything from groundworks and bulk earthworks through to suspended slabs, columns, walls and finishing concrete.
A complete in-house package
Rather than subcontracting each trade separately, clients work with one accountable team. Our formwork carpenters, steel fixers, concrete crews and plant operators are coordinated from a single site office, which keeps sequencing tight and reduces the risk of delays between trades.
We hold accreditations recognised across the South African construction industry, giving developers, consulting engineers and main contractors confidence when including D.S.C. in larger civil and building packages.
Construction, formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete & hire
Construction
General civil and building works, from groundworks to structural completion, managed by experienced site teams.
Formwork
Shuttering and falsework for slabs, beams, columns and walls, erected and stripped to programme.
Reinforcing Steel
Detailing, cutting, bending and fixing of rebar to engineered drawings and bending schedules.
Concrete Hire
Ready-mix concrete supply alongside plant and equipment hire for civil and earthworks packages.
Standards on every site
Our crews work to engineer's specifications and project health-and-safety files, with PPE, access scaffolding and edge protection part of every formwork and steel-fixing package. Quality checks on rebar placement, cover and formwork alignment happen before any pour is signed off.
From rural school campuses in the highlands to coastal residential builds and busy commercial sites along main roads, the same standards apply — clean sites, briefed teams, and concrete that's ready when the pump arrives.
